The Desco 50003 electrode measures surface resistance of flooring, mats, and other surfaces. The electrode is for use with the Desco 19781 digital surface resistance meter, 19786 analog surface resistance meter, and 19640 surface resistance checker, as well as Desco 19641 leads for attaching to meters and checkers. The electrode weighs 5 lbs. An electrode, also called a sensor or probe, is an instrument used with a meter to test and measure parameters of a substance. All electrodes are probes or sensors, but not all probes are electrodes or sensors. Probes, such as temperature probes, are used to penetrate a material for measurement.
