Old printer, but this ink from Ireland seems to be working. Took a long time to arrive, but then it did have to come from Ireland.

The cartridge arrived on time. It was purchased as a ready backup for when my present cartridge no longer worked, and when that day came a few weeks later, I opened this new package and tried about 20 times to print something, but the ink was not flowing properly at all. Then I discovered that the expiry date on the cartridge was from 2012. So, it was a very old cartridge. Anyway, I kept trying and after a few more times it started printing. Not very dark print, but I am able to read everything on the page.

There's not much to say about a packaged ink cartridge; I haven't got around to using them yet. At least, they LOOK like Epson cartridges, and the price was certainly attractive. At this price level, I will continue to use my old (10 years) model 740 Epson for routine things for a while.

The earlier ink cartridge did not work well and when I called them to replace it with another one, it was sent without any hassle and the new one was shipped the same day. I did not expect this kind of service from them. It was like a breath of fresh air!. I will keep them in mind for my future needs of the cartridge and will definitely recommend them to my friends. Excellent customer service. Please convey my sincere thanks to them.

At first I thought it could be the way I installed this cartridge, although I've been installing them for decades. I bought the black and the color cartridges one year ago and today had occasion to install the black. The print is so faint it's nonexistent. I cleaned the head--three times--and still nothing. When I checked the reviews, someone mentioned the cartridge not being in the standard Epson package and this was not as well. I don't know if it has dried out or what. Now I'm eyeing the color cartridge suspiciously. Is that one okay? Time will tell. In the past I've bought cheap knock-offs and had good luck. I thought I was doing the right thing by buying the Epson brand for my Epson Stylus 740, but now I'm not so sure. And it's too late to return it.

Epson Inkjet Cartridge (Black) (S189108/S020189/S020108) I received the cartridge earlier than estimated. The cartridge (appears to be an Epson cartridge)arrived in a stand-alone shrink wrapped package, not in an Epson Box as shown on the Amazon site. I could not find a "use By" date which is usually stamped on the box. I then peeled the yellow tape seal which was very brittle and did not peel easily (probably well aged). The first print trial resulted in NO black printing. After cleaning the heads about a dozen times the test image still shows a number of skips in the printers black test image lines. An actual photo print was unusable. I've e-mailed the seller and will update this review. UPDATE - Received a reply e-mail with a prepaid return label within a couple of days. As a result of their quick response I added a star (now a 2 star rating). I'm not sure if I want to go thru the hassle of returning the used cartridge before a replacement is sent out, or just ordering a new unit from a different source. I did contact them by phone, but they insisted that I return the used cartridge before mailing a new unit.

I was reluctant to buy this because of its mixed reviews. But I've just installed it, and after I cleaned my print heads, it is working just fine. I'm totally satisfied.

This cartridge easy to instal an good quality print copy. this black cartridge was installed on Epson Stylus 740 colour Printer installed on 2000 iMac computer

too expensive but not the fault of the supplier which offered a competitive price.
