Works very well
I've used this type of device to pick up the golf ball out of the cup on the greens for years. This one is somewhat slimmer than the others I've had and will allow the player to pick up the ball while leaving the flag stick in place.

Works well
Works great. I did push a small wall anchor in the hole in the end of the grip then screw the claw into it. A little more stable!

Glue it on.
These are great. I personally glue them into the grip head first use the original gorilla glue. Add some water down the shaft. It will foam up. Cut off the excess. Then use epoxy. It's never coming loose when using it. Great product. It just needs some fortfing.

Shoe and Patience
This works better than most. Mine (and a friends) finally broke a prong after about 3 years. Three things: 1. Be gentle. Don't jab at it. This more than doubles the bending stress on the prongs. Instead, once you get all 4 prongs positioned on the ball, push gently. 2. Installation: Buy some Shoe Goo (amazon has it). Fill the grip hole on the putter with A LOT of shoe goo. Then put a blob on top then screw the bolt /claw assembly in the Shoe Goo'd hole. The claw will never come out. 3. Some claws sold on Amazon such as the push on suction cup type are too big to allow your putter to be put back into a standard diameter putter tube. This one is one of the few that will work. 4. Note: A similar model claw, sold on Amazon by "Sarissa" in a 6 pack is worthless. I had 3 of them break in just a couple of rounds of golf. Buy this one instead. It cost more, but has the prongs reinforced at the base to better withstand the bending load

Good ideas don't always work.
The concept is great.....if you don't have a Heavy Putter brand putter. The handle end of my putter is solid lead so I couldn't screw this into it. I really need it because I recently had a 3-level fusion in my back and for awhile I couldn't dig the ball out of the cup myself. My husand thought he had the answer by drilling a hole into the end of the putter, into the lead. Heck, it nothing else, I could glue it in that hole. However, the heavy duty drill bit he used BROKE OFF in the handle of the putter and we can't get it out. So.....no picker-up for me. But Like I said, it's a good idea.
