Outstanding. These things have been banged away and are still intact. Definite small dents throughout but no cracks. My kid LOVES them along with matching swords. Handles still holding strong. Thank you not skimping on the handle attachments, really makes these little shields great

After some imaginative playtime and sword fighting battles with my niece, the swords and shields have held up well. They are good quality, making a satisfying clack with each blow, and it appears that they will not break easily. They are a good size and weight for an 8-year old. I also really appreciate that these come in a 2-pack, so that the kids can play together. I think these will make for many more fun, imaginative adventures.

Update: The broken shields were replaced and the new shields have wooden handles as the picture shows. Good seller who responded and solved the problem quickly. With the wood handles they are much more durable for play. They are a unique find and fun to paint. Original post: Very cool wooden shields but the handle broke off in one minute of play. They have Fabric handles unlike the wooden handles pictured. They would be great for display but not so much for playing with.

These shields are really fun and sturdy, but the straps have needed repairs a few times. Despite that, they are great toys and my kids play with them all the time. My daughter also enjoyed painting them. Beats plastic or foam any day; I would definitely buy them again.

I got these shields for my 9 year old and he loves them. He also loves that he can paint them and make them even more special. The only thing I would change is the strap on the back where the hand goes is not stretchy at all and fits a little tight on the hand. Other than that I would highly recommend these shields for kids!

They lasted 2 hits from a 6 year old girl and 8 year old boy given the swords are pretty heavy duty but a 3 year old can swing them. But they look nice and are cheap soooo

I purchased these as a birthday gift for my 7-yr old nephew. He absolutely loves them and the fact that it is a set of 2 allows him to 'spar' with a friend or his dad. He's only had them for a few weeks, but so far they're durable. I purchased both the Handmade Wooden Toy Shields and the Handmade Wooden Toy Swords. They have been a big hit!

I already felt the price was somewhat steep for piece of plywood, but I chose to purchase it instead of making my own, for the sake of convenience. The print quality of the dragon bird thing was decent and I liked the curve of the shield. But it didn't last 2 days before it was broken. They weren't even played with. Just held for show. I certainly would not purchase this for kids who want to actually play with them. It is not durable at all for proper play. You would honestly be better off with a piece of scrap plywood an old belt and some nails. It'll save you money and the time spent returning this product.
