Our Own Candle Company Smell My Nuts Scented 13 oz Mason Jar Candle - Made in The USA

Loved the name of the candle. Was actually buying as a joke for a friends 50th birthday party. Two days later she called me and asked me where I had purchased the candle from. She wanted to order one or two more. She said they smelled delightful (as she chuckled) I told her Amazon and the following day I decided to order one up for my wife. Then my OCD kicked when it was time place my order. Do I pay $11.99 for the 18.5oz and order one or pay 13.97 for two of the 13.5oz size? 18.5oz=$11.99 - 27oz=$13.97. After struggling through it I ordered the two 13.5oz jars. Being a prime member they arrived quickly. When I gave them to my wife and she asked what are these for, I said just because. She and I were totally in love with the scent. The smell went through out our entire lower level of our home and was very delightful. When company stopped by, many of times our friends asked us what scent that was and we simply told them to read the jar. Oh boy, the fun we had with that! In ending this candle has a wonderful, delightful aroma that fills a decent size entire level of a home. One way to explain it is you get that "whats baking in the oven, it smells so good" effect. I have ordered many more of these in the 13.5oz size for the family and as gifts. The receivers just laugh so hard when they see the candle but are always delightfully surprised when they burn it for the first time. As I said I like the 13.5oz size over the 18.5oz. The 13.5oz jar has a handle and looks nicer and is more cost efficient. Buy this candle in the 2 pack option, you will not be disappointed :)

My sister loves candles that smell like food. I love candles that smell like flowers. As I was browsing candles online, "Smell My Nuts" popped up. I thought it was hilarious, so I read the description. It sounded like the perfect gift for my sister, because it IS hilariously funny, but yet something she would LOVE! It arrived quickly and was packaged perfectly! It's very sturdy and designed to be safe to ship long distances when gifted. I was already impressed! BUT WHEN I SMELLED IT...*eyeballs roll back in their sockets in sheer delight!* I This candle smells so amazing! It immediately knocks you off your feet with the most incredible fragrance of Banana Nut Bread, Toasted Coconut, and Hazelnut! Now I have to buy one for myself, in a floral scent. My expectations are high, but I'm not scared! OH! My sister loved it!

This is an old family favorite. I've bought a few of them over the years, and they always smell amazing. The throw of the scent is phenomenal, and I'm a big scent person, I've tried so, so many, and this scent is just amazing, warm, cozy, comforting, and familiar. It's particularly nice in the fall and winter, but really I'd use it any time of year. I personally love the hilarious name of the candle too. It's definitely a conversation starter and makes people laugh. I hope they never change it. They make great gifts too just as long as you remove the black plastic piece that's intended to hold the wick in place beforehand or at least warn your recipient to remove it before burning the candle.

I am SUPER sensitive to smell! But this candle scent is perfect. Not over powering but enough to make the house smell good. I got the "smell my nuts" and there are 3 different scents. But all smell similar enough that if you like 1 you will probably like them all. I would follow the directions though and clip the wick before lighting every time. And only burn it for 2 hours at a time for safety if the jar. I have used a whole candle already and on to the 2nd. Great candle and great gift

***SHORT VERSION: REMOVE THE RUBBERY/PLASTIC RING AT TOP OF CANDLE BEFORE BURNING. ***The REST of the story... This is NOT a put down to any of the viewers. But I read these reviews to get an adequate idea of items I'm buying site unseen. THIS product has extremely GOOD reviews, and some very disturbing ones, like "product burst into flames; 1 star." This particular review is to add some clarity to some of the these Brilliant/Disaster comments. There is a little insert in this candle's box that says something to the effect of: "Please follow all instructions. Remove all debris from candle (wax, trimmings, etc.) before lighting. Make sure to trim wick. Etc." I did NOT follow all these directions. I read enough of the instructions to tell you that, but I did not remove ALL debris. Consequently, I had a micro lake of fire within 20minutes of lighting the candle. Fortunately i was very nearby when this happen. Consequently I was able to both observe and correct the problem. Now the candle is burning correctly, and the smell is a strong bakeshop nut pastries scent that can be detected at least 20 feet away from source. This was the problem. When I unpacked the candle, there were inside the mason jar: 1) a few wax/candle particles 2) a rubber/plastic ring between the inside of the lid and the glass top of the mason jar. I can not say for certain that the little wax/candle particles cause a problem or not. I know with certainty that the rubber/plastic ring did. It's is there, most likely to provide a seal to keep the scent from "escaping," so I didn't think much about keeping it on the jar when I lit the candle. MISTAKE. Within 15mins, ALL the little ring melted had into a puddle of flaming black stuff that settled on the top of candle material, and no, it did not smell at all like nuts. Literally the whole top portion of that candle was a circle of flame that was HUGELY bigger than that little provided wick. It really did like a sea of fire (ok, puddle, but way too big for a small candle jar). Fortunately, by the time I saw this, all the rubber/plastic reside had liquified to the point that I could simply pour it off of the candle. (after safely extinguishing the flames) The underlying candle material had barely warmed, so only a very bit of that was lost. I lit the wick (yes there was enough), and the candle burned normally after that. The only side effect of the fire is that the inside neck of the mason jar now is partially coated with candle/rubbery/plasticky residue side. The only smell I sense, however, is that bakeshop nut pastries, as advertised. BTW, it makes an excellent scent to pair with a finished a pot of strong coffee. Don't be me. I have purchased these candles several times and love them! They smell so rich! Great value as these candles burn slowly and evenly.

I got the candle for the smell, though the name doesn't hurt! It smells good - I like the hazelnut layer the best. The mason jar it comes in is very sturdy, and I intend to keep it after I run out of candle. It has a VERY sweet, smell - it's not subtle, and mine left my boyfriend wondering where I was hiding the cake. Just as a tip, trim the wick. It has a pretty heavy duty wick in it, which is already long when you get it. And even though the wax seems like a relatively low temp melting wax, the wick looks like something that would survive an oil lamp. The result is you end up with more wick than candle, hence the black smoke another reviewer mentioned. If you trim it before lighting each time, it should solve the problem. It's a nice candle for the price. I'd be willing to give some other scents a try.
