Great value, good tasting and 25yr self life!
Food is enjoyable unlike some others that you can tell were freeze dried. We used this for some easy quick meals on the go and we're very pleased with it. Ordered 2 more to add to the emergency kit. You get a lot of food for 1 bucket and it's not too heavy and really simple, quick and easy to prepare! 25yrs of this ready to go at any moment is not like having usual emergency food because it tastes like everyday food. Not chalky....... it's all separated and well sealed inside the bucket. Even people that are inclined to burning things (cough cough) can't mess this up.

Great product!
Good product, good packaging, arrived on time and was exactly what I ordered. Was a little disappointed that they literally slapped a sticker on the cintainer and shipped it, considering UPS and FedEx have a strong reliable history of damaging products in transit, however thankfully this one did arrive intact.

If you expected 124 meals, you were hoping for too much. Instead, you get "servings", almost half of which consists of powdered drinks (43) and tiny dessert portions (16). But the rest is also extremely disappointing. Each "serving" has approximately ~200 calories and each bag contains 4 such "servings". This means that there is a full meal in each bag instead of the indicated 4. In the end you only have 16 meals in this box. I was expecting dry food for 4 people and 2 weeks, instead I got food for 1 person and 1 week.

This had a good selection of items and was good value for a Readywise bucket. When it says 124 portions that doesn't mean 124 meals. If you spread it over 8 days for 1 person you would be getting 2 breakfast servings, 6 entree servings, 2 small dessert servings and 5 or 6 drinks total 2370 calories per day. See my spreadsheet pic for more details. As far as the quality goes the food is only just ok, you would be surviving not living it up. It's on a par with Batchelors Pasta and Sauce so some dried pasta and powdered sauce. Not much in the way of vegetables other than for colour and seemingly no meat. My favourite is the Rice and Beans which actually has some kidney beans in it and tastes good. The Savoury Stroganoff was pretty rank. The breakfasts were ok and actually quite filling, I'm not sure I'd manage the allotted 2 servings in 1 sitting. The dried fruit was bananas - yuck! I haven't tried the Orange or Milk. The contents was all present and intact and had a manufacture date of June 2022 so plenty of life left. Half of it came in non-Readywise branded packs. Instructions were provided and simple to follow, with good nutritional info on the bucket which I used for the spreadsheet. In terms of value this is the best value in the Readywise range at £120. Comparing it to the Batchelors packs from the supermarket this is 2 or 3 times the price but with a much longer shelf life, so worth it not to have to keep cycling through them. Plus you get the drinks and desserts. I'm not sure I'd use these for camping meals as they're nowhere near the quality of Summit to Eat while only being slightly cheaper for an equivalent amount of weight/calories. For the money it's worth it for some peace of mind in the event of a temporary emergency, but I wouldn't want to be living off it for an extended period.
