Its internal fabric lining and ear padding are treated to be both hypoenic and antibacterial, meaning kids will stay comfortable while the helmet stays fresh-smelling. An external ABS plastic shell protects your child's head, and looks good doing it, while also offering optimal scuff resistance. The inner shell, meanwhile, is made of supportive EPS material that allows ample airflow through engineered channels and multi-port venting, with mesh screens to prevent snow build-up in the vents.

A padded chin strap creates a snug yet comfortable fit, and padded ear covers are designed to allow sound transmission.

About Lucky Bums
Lucky Bums is the creation of Jeff and Julie Streeter, a husband and wife team, and former Colorado ski bums. When Julie became pregnant with their first child, friends told them they’d have to give up their backcounty pursuits. Unconvinced, and determined to share their love of the outdoors with their young family, they began searching for good kids- gear. It wasn’t easy. The products available were of shoddy construction or poor design, and much of what they wanted simply didn’t exist.

One day, unable to buy a decent ski training harness for his 18-month-old son, Jeff decided to make one himself. With Julie’s help, the technology executive with a engineering degree soon found himself hand-sewing harnesses in his off hours. The harness design proved to be an instant success, and when ski schools began requesting them, the Lucky Bums brand was born.

Today, Lucky Bums has grown from a single product to a true outdoor gear company with a growing staff, expanded facilities, and year-round products for snow play, hiking, camping, fishing, and hunting.
