Would these work for crayon rubbings to create texture?

I use these stencils to screen on acrylic paint so they work well so I tried different media that I had on hand to give you an answer. First, these stencils are made of plastic that is .34mm thick. Next I have no crayons in my studio but I tried pastels sticks, powdered pastels, charcoal sticks and colored pencils and I just had a limited success with the exception of the powdered pastels. The design cutouts are small with limited access I think you can use crayons but it will be difficult. I hope this helps.
