Is this tape made of frogs or for frogs? I would hate to think that you are squishing thousands of frogs.

As a frog lover, I would never buy or use anything that abuses frogs! Since frogs have no hands, it isn't used FOR frogs, either. However, it is a great tape for crafts where painter's tape is too sticky/grabby!

would this work to write on/label food for the freezer?...would the tape adhere to a Ziploc or plastic container, in freezer temperatures?

Yes it works to label food containers, zip locks, glass jars, etc. and can be used in fridge or freezer. This is the same tape we use in the restaurant kitchen to label and date food so we know what is "last in/first out". Use a sharpie and this tape. Nice thing is that you can wash the container and it doesn't leave the sticky gunk on the mason jar. PS NY Times wirecutter recommends this product has one of their "keep your fridge in order" products. Yes, it works, it is great.
