Bull Dog Tonkatsu Sauce

Great flavor and texture. It was a bit sweeter than I expected, but it was exactly what I needed for my recipie and felt right from my memory. Great product and reliable flavor!

This sauce tastes absolutely amazing with the tonkatsu I made! It has the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and tangy, and the consistency is just right—not too thick, not too runny—so it coats everything beautifully. I originally picked this up at my local Asian market and loved it so much that I had to reorder it on Amazon after moving out of state and not knowing if I could find it nearby. I’m so glad it’s available on Amazon because it’s definitely my go-to choice for tonkatsu sauce. I also really like the bottle design—it makes it super easy to drizzle just the right amount without the sauce clumping up at the cap. Highly recommend this for anyone looking to elevate their tonkatsu. Great flavor and great quality!

Great tasting katsu sauce and quick delivery 😊

A different flavor, I had never tried

Very tasty

Standard Japanese sauce appropriate in every American kitchen, especially this brand.

Here's a draft in your voice: Picked this up after noticing it at one of my favorite Japanese spots. Asked which sauce they were using and it was this one, so I figured I'd grab it and try it at home. Been using it with chicken and pork tonkatsu and it's been exactly what I was looking for. It's more on the savory side, which I prefer. Not overly sweet, so it doesn't mask the flavor of the food. If you're looking for a sauce that matches what you'd actually get at a Japanese restaurant, this is a solid pick. I'd buy it again.

Bull-Dog Vegetable + Fruit Tonkatsu Sauce is a pantry must, in my book. Tangy, rich, and insanely versatile for a buffet of dishes: case and point: Tonkatsu is a Japanese dish of breaded deep fried pork cutlet and yet my husband and I are pesco-vegetarian and don't eat meat aside from fish. Yet this 'deep fried pork' sauce hits the mark for us for fried tofu, broiled salmon, Morning Star vegetarian "chicken" nuggets (my favorite use for this sauce) and just as a simple dipping sauce for french fries and root vegetables such as carrots. I also love to add this sauce to homemade gravy, soups and stews, and chili. See? Versatile little bottle! Taste: If you were to dilute A1 sauce with worcestershire, ketchup, sugar and lemon juice, you'd get a similar taste to this Bull-Dog tonkatsu sauce. If you aren't a fan of tangy, this might not be for you. Shipping: I ordered this March 23 2014 and it arrived March 25 2014, securely packaged and without any damage. I was very pleased. Expiration: It is always a risk, it seems, buying food on amazon hoping the expiration date isn't past or a week away- but I was happy to see the expiration date was November 2015. Trust me, it won't last two months in this home. We're crazy for it! I hope this was helpful. If you're on the fence on buying this product, I say go for it. It isn't for everyone. Whereas I loved it at hello, it took a few meals until my husband was a big fan (he particularly enjoys it as a marinade for white fish and salmon, I imagine it works great for chicken and steak in the same manner). Don't think of this as just a sauce replacement for A1, ketchup or BBQ. It stands on it's own, and makes a great addition to add some variety to your weekly meals. Enjoy!
