I love the Piano Adventures series. Im teaching myself and each lesson is clear and effective. Working with level 3b and bought all 5 books for that level- lesson book, sightreading, theory, technique and artistry, and performance. At the front of the lesson book there is a page that tells you which pages and in what books to refer to. You can check them off as you go. The sightreading book goes by day with squares to check off to keep your place. Would highly reccomend. Good luck and have fun :)

Great books for learning to read the notes. All my students have purchased the sightreading books and have made great progress.

I use these sightreading books even when I do not use the accompanying books in the Nancy Faber series. I like the progression of skills, the way new concepts are imtroduced and the clever cartoon characters that give my young students a chuckle. Yes, I do use the other Faber books along with these for some of my students but every student except the very beginners now has "Sightreading" as a part of their weekly assignment. The series works well and the kids love to see printed on each page "DON'T PRACTICE THIS" (by the publisher). Then it wouldn't be sightreading if they DID praactice, would it? Very good books!
