A decent book on Colt firearms, but the major focus is on the popular models.
Plenty of info on the Python, 1911, AR, and single action models. Not enough on others. For example: there are 11 pages of Python coverage, but little more than a single page on the Officers Model Match. No hate from Python lovers, please. The point is, in my opinion, it isn't much of a collector's guide due to the somewhat narrow coverage. There are so many other interesting models out there. Also, there may be some inaccuracies. One example is the picture on page 46. It shows an old die-cast, roll-cap toy gun and lists it as a 1956 second generation 45 Colt Peacemaker. How could they accidentally put a picture of a kid's toy gun in there? A worthwhile addition to your library, with some nice photographs, but don't expect too much.

I didn't think a "collectors guide" could be this bad
Yea, read the other reviews. The bad ones are true. I opened it to the automatic pistol section and found the text calling automatics "revolvers", .380 ACP was called .38, a picture for a .25 Vest pistol picture was called a pocket Hammerless and on and on. In just two pages I was convinced I couldn't use this book as any sort of reference. It'll look pretty on the coffee table and maybe ok if you just want some thing that looks important. But as a collectors guide, it's a failure. I'm actually going to toss it in the trash. $35 down the drain.

Uno dei più grandi marchi di armi da fuoco leggendari “Colt” è stato aggiornato sino al 2015! Ottimo libro per rivivere la storia di questo grandissimo e leggendario marchio

The author is certainly no Colt expert. This book has badly researched and incorrect information. Read the section on the Single Action Army to see why. According to the author Colt called this gun the Frontier. The pctures are incorrectly labelled and on page 46 the image of a Second Generation Peacemaker - his words, not mine - is actually a child's toy cap gun. I cannot believe how bad this book is. There are far, far better tomes so be advised not to waste your money.
