I used this product to remove asbestos black mastic tar commonly found under the 9 inch asbestos tiles in home built late 1960s. I highly recommend containing your borders by putting cat litter around perimeter at the walls base or taking plastic covering base of walls at least 12 inches up. I used a household bug sprayer to apply this product to the mastic on the floor. You want to completely cover the mastic/surface .I let it sit for 2 hours then was able to literally just slide more than scrape the mastic off the floor using a floor scraper . It is amazing how well it removes the mastic . I will say it is messy job. You have to get the now liquid black mastic off the floor . If had to do again would buy a mop and ring bucket to get it up. You then want to follow up by using a degreaser . Product works amazingly well to remove black asbestos mastic . Remember to follow guidelines when working with asbestos .

This product is very effective for removing 52 yr old black mastic from concrete. Follow the instructions and use a natural bristle brush (I used a deck style and attached to a broom handle to spread it) not a plastic one. In about an hour the stuff is ready to come up in most places. I have sensitive airways and this stuff did not bother me. To take up the product and mastic with it I have used a combo of cat litter and powdered oil absorber (which I would used a mask with), then cleaned up the residual oiliness with Dawn dish soap.

Followed the directions, but even after the 2 hour wait period, the glue still didn't come up. Have to go to specialty store and purchase another brand.

Loved it & used it to get the remaining mastic & paper backing from the time I took up. Came right off my concrete floors lickety split.
