Okay, it's an expensive purchase, but if you usually buy coffee from a coffee shop it will pay for itself very quickly. Reasonably easy to clean and makes a lovely cup of coffee. Check the measurements as it is quite bulky. When I first bought this I used to stand and watch it prepare my coffee, now I switch it on and load the dishwasher, feed the dog etc. whilst it brews. Milk dispenser stays in the fridge. I have it well trained and the drip tray only seems to need emptying when he is making me a coffee. Coffee grinds go out in the garden & on 2 cups of coffee a day (ever day) I clean it fully approx once a month

The machine is good in terms of making coffee. Controllable even if the strongest coffee isn't that strong. However, the machine can be temperamental and often switches off for no reason. After two years it turned off mid cycle and locked. £300 to repair. Expect better from an expensive machine.

Unit failed after 30 months. Sounds like it’s old, but it’s a high value product (£500) and it’s a coffee machine not a machine that is likely to be overused or abused. You make a couple of coffees a day. Yet, unit failed completely and utterly. And the worst part? Siemens want £406 to repair. Almost as much as the purchase price? How can that be? Is that not a deliberate policy, to deter repairs and force a purchase? Shooting themselves in the foot though, as I would not buy Siemens again

Great machine with plenty of options for different coffee i.e. Latte, Expresso etc. Easy to clean and I love the milk container which attaches to the side of the machine so you can remove it and put it in the fridge after you have made a drink. It's also very easy to clean which is a bonus, the only negative I can think of is even with the max setting for heat it's not exactly the hottest drink ever but i just put it in the microwave to warm it up. Overall very happy with this.

Bought this machine as the previous bean to coffee machine we had for 5 years bit the dust. This machine looks a lot smarter in the kitchen, the design is very slick and well built. Also its much easier to use, no messing around yourself trying to froth the milk, this machine does all this for you simply add milk to the milk compartment, add water to the water compartment, stick in your beans and select one of the pre-programed options. Coffee tastes great, extremely smooth and frothy (we have latte). Functions are easy, you can customise the options which again is very easy. My only gripe and its a very small one, is that I would prefer the water to heat up a little bit hotter (we have it on the full setting). However having said that I think that is personal choice and coffee is not meant to be boiling hot. As we have not had the machine long I cannot comment on longevity, but first impression are good. Extremely easy to clean, Would definitely recommend this machine.

This was an upgrade from another well known brand of machine that lasted over 10 years.. so pleased we upgraded to this machine. It makes a really authentic coffee shop coffee all at the push of a button, the coffee is a little cooler than you would get from a a coffee shop,but the convenience more than makes up for this. The machine is easy to fill with water,beans and the handy milk jug comes away easily to store in the fridge. I wish we upgraded years ago, buy one you won't regret it!!

I had been looking for a bean to cup coffee machine for a while. I saw this on Amazon & it seemed exactly what we wanted. At the retail price it is definitely a considered purchase, but, Amazon had it on sale & it was too good an offer to miss. It is still a considered purchase, but it’s worth it. My husband and I have been so impressed with the machine, it’s just like coffee shop coffee. I bought the Illy Decaffeinated beans from Amazon to see how the machine worked. The coffee is delicious and we can highly recommend both the machine and the Illy coffee beans

We have had the Siemens eq500 for a couple of months now. It makes beautiful coffee and is very easy to use and clean. Like other people have said, the milk side of things could be warmer. Even on the hottest setting. It's not particularly hot.
