Double agent 2-in-1 straightening blow dryer brush | amika

Background: I have straight brown hair that is medium/fine with some bleached highlights. I have the hardest time getting volume in my hair, but it does hold a curl pretty easily.I gave this 5 stars because it actually does a great job and does what it says it does! I’ve tried the revlon blow dry brush and l’aniege, and I like this one much better.However, don’t be dumb like me - here are a few tips:1. Don’t dry your hair when it’s really wet - rough dry it first with a blow dryer and then go in with this tool. Otherwise you’ll likely cause breakage.2. Be careful where you touch the brush head. It can burn you but it depends on where you touch it…some spots are completely fine. It’s sneaky!3. When straightening, I like to grab the end of my hair while the brush is right near my head and then brush down - that’ll help guide the hair and you won’t need as many passes.4. If you have really damaged hair, I wouldn’t recommend this or any blow dry brush. My hair is bleached but not terribly damaged and these brushes still cause some breakage no matter what the tool is. However, I don’t have to clean this brush nearly as often as other blow dry brushes.

Let me start telling you the hair dryer part of the brush is no strong enough to completely dry your hair, i had to use my regular hair dryer to complete this task, later i thought that i can use the brush to straighten and polish the ends, i was wrong. My hair was so frizzy and crazy. I don’t recommend it. Also you can’t regulate the temperature, for a 120$ brush i would expect to at least regulate the heat that i put on my hair.

I have the Amika Hair Blow Dryer Brush 2.0 and I love it, but I sometimes want my hair a little smoother and straighter. I do not always want to use my flat iron. With this product, I was able to blow dry my long hair in about fifteen minutes and then I used the straightener setting and quickly smoothed out my style. I love it! I wish it came with a glove - the straightener gets really hot. It is not easy to burn yourself, but it is possible if you are not paying attention. Also be careful that you do not get it too close to your scalp, as it gets very hot! All in all I am very pleased with this purchase and recommend this product to others! - Picture on the left is after I used this product; picture on the right is using the Amika Hair Blow Dryer Brush 2.0. Love them both!

This is so much more expensive than the Revlon brush and it does NOT smooth my hair the same. It's also too hot and pulls/breaks my hair too much. I bought it because I was influenced by @blowoutprofessor on Youtube but I returned it and got the Revlon 40$ brush instead, and I'm super happy with it. Don't waste your money on this.

And they have done thing about it. I spent 100.00 dollar on it. I did call them wait to hear if they are going to replace it. So far I have heard anything. I am very unhappy with them

I didn’t know what to expect. I was a little awkward the first time I used it, but the end product was exactly what I hoped. It gave a smooth and straight finish with one device/tool. This was definitely worth purchasing and it’s a great product.
