does this stop dogs from coming near you when I walk my dog

İ never get any reaction from any dog targetted with dazer.

What distance does it operate when outside

5 to 10 metres, but it works best if you pulse it on and off.

Can I clip this to my belt?

Yes, there is a sturdy clip on the back of the dog dazer to attach to belts.

Am a Postwoman dod bites are always happening this looks good although quite big I was hoping for something to clip on my trousers

Clips on trousers and is about the size of a thick mobile phone. Most effective in short bursts. Dogs may react in different ways some back off/run away or some stay still but others can return aggressively. Best used as a last resort. Also works effectively on young inquisitive steers and nuisance cats . Nice to have one handy for protection and some sense of security. I thought all postworkers were issued with the device but I wouldn't do the job because of the risk of dog attack.
