Buckwheat is believed to have been first cultivated more than 8,000 years ago in Southeast Asia. It was one of the first crops introduced to North America by early European settlers and is a ste food in much of Eastern Europe. Despite its name, buckwheat has nothing to do with wheat: it's a cereal, and naturally gluten-free. Hatton Hill ’s roasted buckwheat consists of the heart-shaped of the buckwheat , which is part of the rhubarb family. The have a toasted, nutty flavour, and they're naturally gluten-free. How about mixing it up with onions, garlic, s and other ingredients (vegetables, nuts... anything that takes your fancy, really!) and using the mix to make roasted stuffed peppers and other vegetables?
