Can I replace 5 prong with 3 prong? Will any prong fit?

Yes but you will need a 6mm female to 8mm male adapter, you can find them on amazon for a couple dollars. The 5 prong is about 6" and the 3 prong paralyzer is about 12" plus 1" for the adapter. Your overall length ends up being close 7 ft

Could you travel with it over a plane ? would you have to tell them that u have a spear ?

Spear guns are specifically prohibited in carry-on bags. On the TSA web site, they are listed under prohibited sports goods, which include baseball bats, ski poles, and bows and arrows. You can carry them in your checked bag.

Can you use this as a Hawaiian sling?

It effectively is. Unless you’re asking if you can add a wooden grip for this to slide through. You could add that and you should be fine.
