it left my hair feeling very nice and shiny. my only complaint is how easy it will stain your bathroom. it didn't leave a hair dye smell after and i liked that.

This review is specifically for the 5N /dark brown color Scent - same scent as other xmondo products. To me it is very jasmine perfume. I personally don’t care for the scent but some people love it. I can deal with it but could be a negative if you are sensitive to fragrance. Or it could be a huge plus if you love the scent Packaging - solid quality feel packaging. Nice wide opening allows you to easily access the product whether using a brush or hands. No need for color bowls. Value - I’d say this heavily depends on your hair. Short hair will probably get 3-5 uses. I have shoulder length hair and looks like I’ll get 2-3 uses. Longer hair may get one use or need 2 for really long hair. Feel - thick consistency. Nice that it’s not runny. You have good control over it. Like a thick conditioning mask Caution this WILL stain on contact. Make sure you are careful to cover the area you are working in and wear gloves. I have a dark tile shower but I would not be surprised if this would stain a white tub. I would def say have the bleach ready to go to clean up immediately. Color - obviously this will vary by person but here’s my experience. I have naturally dark hair (level 4). I also have some grey and bleached highlights. I have been trying to transition to a lower maintenance hair routine in the last 2 years and mainly using semi permanent color (professionally done). I’m not a stranger to dark hair. I’ve had level 3 color in the past (which for most people is essentially black). I am not a hairdresser but imo this is not a level 5 color as the name would imply. To me, getting my hair colored for 20 years on my base, this is a 3/4. It is very very dark, almost black. I’d strongly suggest doing a test strand if going too dark is a concern for you. There are a lot of green undertones so you will not have any warmth. Would I recommend? No. Do the test strand. For myself, I feel like I need something softer at this point. This color feels a bit harsh on me but it may be exactly what you’re looking for. Update - I tried the 5G color. Mistake! This has such heavy red tones that I look like red was my intended color. Extremely disappointed and will not be trying any more of these colors. I actually went to sally beauty to see if they had anything to help the heavy red brassy tones. Thankfully it’s semi permanent so I’ll be trying clarifying shampoo and blue shampoo to hopefully quickly reduce the unwanted color. Honestly the reaction when I told the lady I had used this said it all. Not recommended

This worked exactly as I hoped it would. I had just recently put some green in my hair just for fun at the hair salon. I am going to be in a wedding at the end of the month and the bride wasn't a huge fan of it so I thought...hmm maybe temporary dye? I tried this out and it covered 99.9% of the green. Only a small tinge of it and probrably because I didnt coat it well in that spot. Definitely wear gloves the pigment is very strong and to rinse i did that in my shower and had the shower head facing as far down as I could to reduce splatter. The first wash I did after, when I was shampooing it got EVERYWHERE. But again--this is dark pigmented dye so its fine. I would just warn that obviously it will stain white surfaces a bit. Overall very happy with the results and glad I didnt have to go spend a ton of money to get the green corrected before the wedding!

Looks amazing!!! Listen to directions use gloves stained my skin where I got it on it! Definitely do not rinse in a porcelain tub or shower with tiles. Stained my tub and tiles bad!!! Definitely recommend buying it!!!!

Mixed feelings! I got the 5N color to maintain my dark brown hair. I have previously bleached hair on my ends* and have since been keeping up my dark color with these semi-permanent masks. Pros: - Intense color depositing - Smells great - Hair felt so nice after use Cons: - Brown has a blue-black base/undertone - Bleeds like CRAZY - Stains everything (though this one is understandable) When I first used this, the color looked amazing. A deep espresso with neutral undertones. But when I combed through my hair, I put my comb in a cup of water and the color ran like sharpie green/blue-black. I figured maybe it needs to develop, but nope! My hair is black with a cool undertone. It started out as a dark dark chocolate. It’s been a few days and my hair is still bleeding the color when other brands like DP Hue and ColorLomo have never behaved this way. I could argue that the XMONDO is just heavily pigmented, but constantly staining everything after initial application is wild to me. I bet the vivid colors are AMAZING since they bleed a lot by nature, but I figured a darker color would have better staying power. My hair isn’t even that damaged to be bleeding this much. Product is not bad but I can’t say it’s going to be my go-to.

I stopped using permanent hair dyes on my hair and started using this super gloss. The box said leave it on hair for 20 minutes but I leave it for an hour. My white hair takes it and is a healthier alternative to permanent hair dyes. Since this is just color depositing, it he color washes off after 3 washes but the good thing though is my white hair would look like it’s highlighted instead of that starry line. I can get away with reapplying every 2 weeks because even when the color washes off it leaves my white hair a tint of brown highlights it look cute I think. The first time I used it I put it all over my head. Then 2 weeks later I would retouch only the whites that come out. The container has lasted 3 months so for the price I think this is more affordable than a permanent hair dyes. I love this product.

This is very intense jet black hair. Not what I was expecting from what is advertised. It made my hair extremely black and I do not like it. It washes me out and is too harsh against my already very dark eyes and features. I feel so uncomfortable in this pitch black hair. I dont feel or look like me. I really wanted to like this product but I do not and I would love a refund as I have no use of using it again. It is already pretty pricey and to not have it go to use is a waist of money. It's also taking forever to wash off. It's weird the black color makes my hair look very dry instead of glossy too.😟 please can I get a refund? Im just a mom of 2 toddlers and currently expecting baby #3 I'm just trying to feel like myself and my hair is my favorite accessory.

I want to start off by saying, my end goal is to be completely grey. Because of a bad bleach job, i decided to cover my hair with SEMI permanent dye until i can rebuild the strength in my hair to proceed with the grey in like 6 months to a yr. I got this product to over up my hair color until then.. I want it to wash out over time Before I got this product, the reviews weren't the best. and it wasn't until the night before it arrived that I learned its supposed to go on already dark hair. Its not meant for bleached, light or grey hair... But thats exactly what my hair was. Bleached, patchy and Grey lol. I was certain it wasn't going to stick to my hair or be even more patchy. Welp, it worked like a charm!!! Completely covered all my hair and made it all 1 shade. Yes, its darker than I would like BUT its not permanent. So in like 3 washes it will be lighter. Anyone who is looking to cover up a bad bleach job or doesnt want permanent dye so you can eventually carry on with the bleach, lightening hair process, or change your hair color freely, this is a great product for you! I will always recommend xmondo
