Sprang up right away!
I was hoping the bunnies would eat it. Looks nice but helps wildlife too

Grows well indoors
I got this to grow fresh grass for my bunny during the winter. She had a recent surgery on her mouth and fresh grass is easier for her to eat than hay sometimes. These seeds sprout quickly and grow fast. There is a lot of seeds and a little sprinkle goes a long way. It does take awhile for the roots to grow, so if you feed it to the bunny too soon, it just pulls up and she's spitting out dirt. Give it a tug first to make sure it's rooted. I love how easy this is.

Low yield germination
Low yield when planted late spring and again early fall here in Idaho. Will try again with remaining and plant earlier this spring.

Low carb pasture
Horse people concerned about carbs. This is a suggestion. I went through a phase of older horses with Cushings and horses with Laminitis…. After my experience, of sitting on pins and needles for several years. I suggest being super cautious. But this helped me a lot. I stopped irrigating my pasture because it was safer to let everything go dry rather than to risk carb issues. One of the horses was so sensitive she was on special hay. And locked up all the time. After a lot of reading and vet questions. I changed my pasture over to a low carb pasture. It’s a mixture of Teft, Timothy and because it’s already everywhere on the ranch, Bermuda. (This type of grass has to be started in the summer.) The first week they went out was funny. They turned their nose up to it. (Not sweet) but now they like it. What I’m seeing is no weight gain. Where before they could only be out one or two hours (one with a grass muzzle.) They’d still get fat. If they get left out longer now, they are ok. (I was walking some terrified baby steps when they’d be left out over two hours) All these seeds are super fine. But it all germinated well. It was well worth the cost.

Seeds sprouted within 3 days
I would definitely recommend these seeds! They arrived 3 days ago. I immediately spread them over the dirt, lightly covered them with dirt and soaked them. Have continued to heavily water them, as we are currently in extremely high temperatures. They started to spout this morning. Very successful and I am very happy!

Timothy is more robust than creeping varieties
This is my second purchase. Over the years I bought various grass mixes that seem to include creeping varieties that die out in heat as I don't water grass in my 2 acre area. I tried to get clumping grass that always has creeping grass included by accident or comes back. Creeping varieties fill in between clumping grass and die leaves holes for weeds or moss to grow in. So, I tried overseeding with Timothy which has worked better. I reseed bare areas. Timothy grows well with wide blades good for my pet rabbits. Timothy grows when other varieties stop, that is what I have experienced. I haven't used weed killer for 3 years now and I am finding I can spend a couple hours pulling weeds and keep them under control.

Great quantity of seeds for price.
Definitely a good quantity of seeds for the price. Had some spill into Amazon bag but I was able to just pour them back into the seed bag. The only thing I would suggest is the instruction being included for those new to planting and harvesting hay grasses.
