I went looking for a replacement utility light for my wife's sewing table. She wanted a light that clamped to the table and that was bright enough to cover her table surface plus provide adequate light on her sewing machine. We were pleasantly surprised when we set it up and saw how sturdy and bright the light was plus even better, the available options to dim or change the light temperature (color). Some of her projects require lots of light but she really liked that she could soften the light to relax her eyes with projects that didn't need bright light, the best of both worlds plus the gooseneck design easily allows her to maneuver the light anywhere on her table she needs. The construction seems well made and indicates nice attention to detail plus it is a clean design that matches perfectly with her table. Her table is portable so the quick power connection is perfect for quickly moving her table without dragging the power cable around, a nice perk. We liked the light so much that I may buy another one to replace my own wood carving desk utility light. We've only had the light a week so I can't comment on durability or the longevity of the light source but I would definitely recommend this light if it holds up and continues to provide what it came with out of the box.

I bought this to replace one of those old-style clamp-on lights with a hinge and springs that had worn out. I wanted something different, as the springs wear out and then the lamp won't stay in position. This lamp solves that problem. The flexible neck twists into a million different positions easily and stays put. It's nice and long (neck is 28") so you can position the lamp right over whatever you're working on. I do painting on small objects so I need to get close to the work. In addition to the lamp I use a magnifying glass on a flex neck (see photos) so I really like the adjustable brightness and narrow bezel of the lamp head. It comes with a remote control that seems superfluous to me, in fact, I haven't even opened it yet. I mean, you're sitting RIGHT THERE next to the controls. But maybe there are use cases that require it. Regardless, it's a great clamp-on light and I highly recommend it.

This lamp came from a recommendation from an artist as a studio light. I am always looking for ways to improve the lighting in my studio, which has only one window that faces east. What I like is that the lamp has a long, flexible neck, which means I can move it around over areas of work. Making the lamp brighter and dimmer, as well as changing from cool to warm, all are advantages for me. The remote just cracked me up - last thing I thought about, but using it shows it to be a real convenience. It is also a very reasonably priced lamp. As far as durability, I don't know. The packaging was nice, directions clear. If I like it over time, chances are I will order another.

Just exactly what I wanted and needed. Works well when I am sewing and also when I am beading. This light will also be great when I am doing needle work. Just the right amount of light and easily adjustable.

I am very happy with my purchase of this lamp. The metal clamp is strong, the lamp is easy to operate and gives great light. I love being able to dim the lamp as well as change from warmer to cooler light! The neck is sturdy and flexible. The remote is very handy, since my desk is large enough that it is a bit difficult for me to reach the controls on the lamp. I can change settings without getting up!

The lamp itself seemed fine. I liked all the brightness and color options. I bought this as a reading light to clamp to a side table beside my recliner. However, the clamp clearly wasn't designed for tables that have a rounded edge. It's flat on top and underneath, but with a rounded edge there's less for it to grip to. Actually, it gripped just fine until I placed the lamp into the clamp's socket... The weight was just too much and the entire thing would fall off, clamp and all. I really wanted this to work and tried several times but with the same result. I tried so often, in fact, that the clamp damaged the paint on my table. I decided to return this in exchange for the floor model instead.

I love this lamp! I was looking for a more elegant replacement for an old Ottlite desk lamp I had been using, and I'm glad I settled on this one. The 5 warmths/colors + 5 brightness settings are awesome to play around with, and really useful for a jack-of-all-trades crafter who may need very different lighting for different types of work. I have it at my standup desk, and it's made that corner of the room so inviting to work at that I find myself doing far more crafting than I did beforehand. Initially I figured the remote was a useless addition, but actually find I'm using it, especially if I need to dim the brightness from across the room in the evening. Very handy. It needs a clear LOS to the lamp to work, but that's not too big a deal. NOTE: Unlike some other warmth/brightness adjustable lamps, this one has a control panel on the pole itself, with separate buttons for on/off, warmth, and brightness. Many other comparable lamps I've seen have only a single button for all of those, and that on the lamphead itself. I can't imagine how someone thought that would be a user-friendly idea. This one however, is thankfully separate, with even more precise options via the remote (which is another reason it's not as useless as you'd think). Setup is a no-brainer. The clamp is very easy to use, and the only fussy bit would probably be working the super flexible neck into the best position (and if you're like me, also making sure it doesn't look too kinky and weird in the process). It may be a tad more expensive than similar products, but I think it's well worth the investment and highly recommend it. I may even look into an IMIGY floor lamp in the future too, if all their products are like this.
