These are wonderful! They are helping me immensely with my degree in computer science. Everything you need to know about Python!

My snake learned nothing. Couldn’t answer a single flash card. No feeding instructions were included either.

Honestly at first I was mad they were this big. But then I thought ”wait slick I can still fit this in a backpack and I will never lose them.” They are thick quality cards and this box is textbook hardcover THICK so it's not breaking anytime soon I think. If the content sucks ill update later but if this comment isn't updated in still happy with my purchase. Contains actual code snips on stuff I'm really learning in my SWE degree in college. Honestly I couldn't be happier. The first language learn is very important cause it will be your dominant one (lookup interview languages) and I'm doing everything I can to make sure it python because statistically you get more job offers cause it's quicker in interviews. Banking on this (of course as a support material, not alone) to help me get into FAANG. Good luck people I hope this helps. Would buy again.

Used this along with the book for a high school programming class. The cards were a great feature. I had planned to use them throughout the semester; however, didn't have time to include them. But we used them at the end of the semester as a final 'extra-credit final' type event - where students could answer for points. It was a great way for me to gauge what I (and the book) covered well, and what needs to be covered better next semester. The cards are VERY well synced with the book. If you have more class time it would be better to do this on a weekly schedule to help reinforce concepts.

I never used these cards while I was consistently using python. HOWEVER, I found them extremely useful when I went a few months (close to a year) without using python and wanted to jump back into it. These helps kickstart your memory with different functions in python and gives an example of how they are used. When you already have experience under your belt (even just a little) these cards do a great job to jog your memory.

The cards are high quality and larger than I expected. The printing is crisp and they have a nice glossy finish. The box and the cards were damaged due to poor packaging and/or handling. All card corners are folded over and wrinkled about 1/2". This is not the faulty of No Starch however, Amazon just needs to package things like this a little better - a trend I'm seeing more and more.

Not pretentious, not tech jargony, big enough font, not too much on each card. Feeling a lot smarter really quickly as I cram for an interview screen, but will definitely keep these on hand because they have such good syntax examples. Huge fan!!

I don't leave reviews very often, but I think I need to leave a review for this. I have been on an intensive program for several months to learn programming and Python. No, this is not a complete course by itself, and no, it is not perfect. But these cards do a better job of explaining a lot of things than the many books I have bought did. If you are trying to learn Python, and have bought at least one Python book or online course, I highly recommend that you buy these cards to go along with it.

Bonne aide-mémoire pour un débutant très motivé, car il ne faudra pas croire qu'après avoir parcouru ces fiches vous pourrez coder aisément ! A coupler avec de nombreux exercices pratiques (le web en regorge) ou l'achat du manuel "Python : crash course" (du même auteur). Un débutant "éclairé" (qui aurait déjà suivi une formation sur le sujet) ou un utilisateur de niveau intermédiaire préfèrera un ouvrage plus dodu. Les + : - la qualité de la production (fiches et boîtier robustes) - la clarté des explications et de la mise en page - tous les principaux sujets sont couverts (même la programmation orientée objet) Les - : - chaque point mériterait davantage d'exemples - la rubrique 7 "Packages" ne contient que deux fiches et aucune suggestion de package utile à installer... - les explications sur l'installation de Python sont trop succinctes (rien n'est dit sur les options, par exemple)

This helped me strengthen my fundamental understanding as a beginner without going through countless ‚hello World‘ tutorials ! Please consider making more of these!

Large sturdy card, ideal for revision / conceptual understanding, I refer back to them regularly, as someone totally new to coding I found them to be an invaluable addition to my library.

I was not expecting this level of quality. The printing is exquisite, and the organization of content and ideas are very intuitive. So glad I bought them. I’m using them to reinforce what I learned in a recent Python course.
